Participation in team sports results in a higher GPA for both high school boy and girl athletes. Physically active children are 15% more likely to attend college. Student athletes earn up to 40% higher test scores. Youth sports offer numerous mental and emotional health benefits, according to the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition.

Junior high school athletics have four athletic seasons: Fall, Winter I, Winter II, and Spring.
