School Improvement Plan

Senior Leadership teams use a School Improvement Plan (SIP) as their main source of information to outline their strategic plans for the growth of their school. A school's stated principles will serve as the foundation for a school improvement plan, which outlines the steps and resources required to accomplish the goals.

School Improvement Plan Goals

Goal #1

Improve academic outcomes for all students with an emphasis on literacy and numeracy.

  • Improve instructional practices to emphasize intellectual engagement for all students through rigor, relevance, voice, and choice.
  • Literacy enhancement through non-fiction texts, common text annotations, claim-evidence-reasoning, and vocabulary development. 
  • Numeracy enhancement through mathematical practices, LAP Math Support, co-teaching, and Building Thinking Classrooms.

Goal #2

Reduce achievement gaps between the highest achieving and lowest achieving student 
groups. 

  • Monthly data analysis to identify gaps, disproportionalities, and trends in achievement outcomes. 
  • Co-teaching and specialist supports for MLL, LAP, and SPED students. 
  • Focus groups and targeted supports for identified underperforming groups.
